Pat Colbeck speaks Sept. 16
Patrick Colbeck — engineer, entrepreneur, author and former state senator — will speak to the Eastside Republican Club at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, at The War Memorial, 32 Lakeshore, Grosse Pointe Farms.
“The forum is open to the public at no charge, so we invite anyone interested in sound government to take part in the discussion with Mr. Colbeck following his remarks,” said Eastside Republican Board member Mike Vethacke in advance of the meeting.
Colbeck is a former candidate for Michigan governor and served two terms in the Michigan Senate, where he was term limited representing the state’s seventh Senate district, serving Canton, Livonia, Northville, Plymouth and Wayne.
Election integrity focus of ERC Forum
Election integrity activist Darlene K. Hennessy will speak at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 15, to the Eastside Republican Club at The War Memorial, 32 Lake Shore Rd., Grosse Pointe Farms.
Hennessy is an experienced volunteer on behalf of organizations such as Michigan Fair Elections Institute and Check My Vote with responsibility for their Wayne County volunteer operations.
“Ms Hennessy has been extensively involved in securing Michigan’s elections and, therefore, can provide valuable insight in how we can make them too big to rig,” said club chairman Renee Strobl in a statement in advance of the meeting.
Forum doors open at 7 p.m. for coffee and networking in advance of the 7:30 meeting. The public is invited to the forum which will conclude with an opportunity for audience members to ask questions.
